Rob Saunders (BA, MA [Oxon], MSc) originally studied history before completing a Masters degree in political science. After further study at the London College of Printing, he began working as a journalist and editor in the 1990s, contributing to books on the history of medicine and editing magazines on topics ranging from AIDS policy in Africa to economic transformation in central and eastern Europe. Between 1996 and 2008 he worked for Diabetes UK, becoming Editor of Diabetes Update and Medical and Science Editor for Balance magazine. Since 2008, he has continued to undertake occasional writing and editing work for Diabetes UK as well as working for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Endometriosis UK and as an agency writer for one-off health-promotion campaigns. He has been Managing Editor and Quality Lead for the EASD’s e-Learning platform since 2019.
