Tabitha Dale (BSc, MSc) studied microbiology and virology as an undergraduate before gaining a Masters degree in applied molecular microbiology. In her early career, she worked as a scientist in a variety of central Government roles, from managing research projects on foodborne disease at the Department of Health and Food Standards Agency, to monitoring marine and water quality at Defra. From 2010, Tabitha worked on sustainable development (SD) and was Defra’s policy lead on subjective wellbeing, managing the SD Twitter account and contributing to a number of social and citizen science projects on environmental impacts and quality of life. In 2018, Tabitha became a freelance social media manager and has managed the EASD e-Learning Twitter account since 2019.
